Good afternoon Liza families. This is Principal McKinley will the weather update from OCSD. as they track Hurricane Francine. At this time, school will release at the regular time today, Wednesday, September 11th. Afterschool activities will continue as planned unless otherwise advised by the school. Currently, there are no plans to cancel school tomorrow, September 12th. I will continue to provide updates as I hear from OCSD.
The Liza Band concert has been cancelled for this evening.
Update to Liza's early dismissal today. Due to a weather band quickly approaching, we will hold dismissal until 12:38. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this unpredictable weather.
Good morning. Due to an abundance of caution with today's severe weather, Liza Jackson will release at 11:38 am. Busses will arrive at the bus stop three hours early. Aftercare will be cancelled for today. If your child is on the third grade field trip, they are returning to school now.
Based on recommendations from the Okaloosa County Emergency Management Office and Okaloosa County School District, we will have a three hour delay to the start of school on Friday, May 10 due to the potential of severe weather in our area. This means that school will begin at 11am and doors will open at 10:40am. Lunch will be provided with an alternate schedule. Bus pick up times will be three hours later than usual in the morning. Afternoon dismissal times will remain the same. We will update you if there are any further changes.

Good evening Liza families. This is Principal McKinley. The school gate will remain open tomorrow for those who weren't able to come today. The flowers that families placed by the flag pole and tribute sign for Officer Coraine are beautiful. I think I even saw bags of Jolly Ranchers that Officer Coraine loved to pass out to the kids. Thank you to the Hagens for making the sign!
This is not how I want to share this news but social media is cruel. It is with great sadness that I let you know we lost Cullen Coraine today. Please respect Leiah's privacy right now and don't call or text her. She is being taken care of and has someone with her now. Please pray for her to have some peace and understanding.
