The Collegiate High School at NWFSC offers several options for programs of study for students in grades 9-12. Students are able to customize their program of study to meet the criteria for the educational path they intend to pursue. Students follow detailed programs of study that lead directly to a college degree.
The Associate in Arts (AA) program is a two-year undergraduate degree program requiring the completion of 60 credit hours. Students customize their program of study to meet the criteria for the path they intend to pursue after high school. Students follow a detailed program of study that leads directly to a college degree and prepares students to transfer to a bachelor’s degree program upon completion. The Associate in Arts (AA) Degree is equivalent to the first two years of a four-year bachelor’s degree and is intended for transfer to a university. Students will meet the requirements for Bright Futures in the AA program.
The Associate in Science (AS) CTE program is a two-year undergraduate program requiring the completion of 60 credit hours with a high emphasis on technical education, consisting of 18 general education credits and 42 technical education credits. Students complete high school courses and technical education courses simultaneously to earn a high school diploma through the Career and Technical Education Graduation Pathway. The Associate in Science (AS) degree program is designed to prepare students for employment or career opportunities and immediate entry into the workplace. Students who wish to qualify for Bright Futures and continue their education after completion of their AS degree can work with their counselor to ensure they have the necessary credits to continue at a university. Students enrolled in the AS tracks will have the opportunity to earn industry certifications throughout the program.
